Technical Assistance - Health Services Implementation

HHISP provides technical assistance in the form of personnel, training and research. It comprises activities that strengthen the level of knowledge, skills, technical ability or productive activities of counterparts. It may include scholarships, institutional twinning and mentoring as well as services such as consultancies, technical support or the provision of expertise.

Since the establishment of HHISP there has been a substantial improvement in the provision of technical consultancy and advisory assistance to non-government and government organisations that support the Australian Government's health and HIV activities in PNG. This improvement also extends to national and sub-national level technical support, support to capacity diagnostics and a range of design missions. These redesign and capacity diagnostic missions have contributed significantly to GoPNG’s infrastructure and health planning.
